My Sunday in a nutshell

I did a 'MSIAN' (hehe I like this abbreviation) post when I first started blogging and I've decided to try and make it a regular occurrence. Well, only if I have something remotely interesting to say... my Sunday's usually consist of catching up on sleep after a late shift or hangover nursing. Still, this endeavour I will make. I'm not up to very much today, we're just all off to a family friends for Sunday lunch so I thought I'd show you what I'm wearing...

Night at the races

This is me, catching up on lost time! I went greyhound racing last saturday for a friends birthday and decided to snap my first OOTN. I actually took the photos before I left (yes, it's taken me a good week and a half to actually upload them!) Anyho lovelies, here it is. *Please excuse the frizzy, pre-styled hair and chipped nail polish!

Festival Chic

I'm back! :) I took a small break from blogging (2 weeks!? crikey, I’m sorry!) I've been very worn out with work, illness (...and pre summer hangovers. Lily, you're not fooling anyone.) Ok, so I’ve been working hard, and partying harder and now summer has officially begun! I was at a festival all weekend so I thought I’d show you an OOTD, unfortunately, I only managed to get part of it, and it is BlackBerry quality... Still, I'm sure you can get the idea. Oh and did I mention; THE BRACES HAVE BEEN REMOVED! I finally had them taken off last Wednesday and it was the most brilliantly bizarre experience. My teeth feel really smooth and I literally cannot stop myself from smiling (This was a warning in advance for the grinning)

(I have cropped out the horrendous face I was pulling, unfortunately this was the closest I could get to a full length shot)
Crop top: New Look  |  Shorts (originally jeans): Primark

(oh but look, I did find a picture of my shoes!)
Military boots: chockersshoes.co.uk

The line up included Pixie Lott, Olly Murrs and the wonderful Joshua Radin, whom I love.

Aviators: RayBan

I had a wondeful time with my some of my closest friends - it was a great kickstart to my summer. Have you lovelies been to any fests? what did you wear? xx

Finally, an OOTD!

I’ve finally snapped an outfit of the day! (hooray!) I had a few seminars at my local university today so admittedly, the outfit is nothing special, but I thought I’d still give it a go.
So the focus /lighting isn’t too great on quite a few shots as the daylight is starting to fade and my tripod was not working with me at all, but what can I say? It’s difficult taking pictures of yourself, and it's safe to say, this was a minor disaster.
At first, I couldn’t find the timer mode on my camera, yet being my usual determined self, I attempted to take pictures without (Stupid, I know) and of course, it didn’t work... at all. After flicking through the menus and settings for a few minutes I realised there was actually a specific timer button. (Note to self; pay more attention to the little icons - they do actually mean something.) I would also like to mention that my battery died after only a few snaps so I didn’t have time to correct my mistakes (What a success this was!)
My apologies for being such an amateur – I’m sure I’ll perfect this one day!

T-shirt: H&M  | Blazer: H&M  |  Jeans: DP

Ring: New Look  |  Stacking rings: H&M

Err Lily, we can still see that arm... Oh well, at least it's in focus :)

Update & such...

Hello my lovelies! I hope you’re all well! Sorry for the lack of posts this week but I’ve been busy with various things (and school work, much to my dismay) I really don’t know where the days have gone!
I’m currently sitting inside in my pj’s, drinking a lovely cup of coffee, with a playlist of relaxing songs running while I watch the rain pour down outside. It’s felt like autumn all day today, I left my house bright and early it this morning for a few lessons of art, it was chilly and drizzling and there’s been a consistent run of heavy showers all day. Still, I can’t day that I mind very much, I don’t have work or anything else planned for the rest of the evening, and to be perfectly honest, I love nothing more than sitting inside on a day like this :)
Anyway I thought I’d take this opportunity just to mention a few things I plan to do in the next week or so. Although I have been very busy, I did manage to find a spare day to go shopping (I know, how convenient right?). This was a solo shopping trip as I had a few essentials to pick up, such as work trousers (I did not get these) and birthday cards (I actually forgot these as well) I strangely enjoy shopping alone - I don’t feel guilty for dragging whoever I’m with back and forth to the same shop, ‘um-ming’ and ‘ah-ing’ over a particular item, only to decide, I don’t actually want or need it.
So, off to the shops I went! ...I won’t lie, I pretty much demolished all the sales. I have since decided that if I don’t want to spend too much, it’s probably not the best idea to go shopping alone. (I didn’t realise there were so many sales on at the moment) TOPSHOP!!! That s'all I'm saying ;) (It's safe to say, I may have got a little bit excited) Well, at least you can expect a sizable haul coming soon!
Speaking of clothes and such, I keep meaning to take pictures of my OOTD’s but I always remember once I’ve got changed and removed my makeup, and I don’t really see the point in getting dressed and ‘re-applying’ again.. It rather defeats the object of spontaneity, right?
Hmm, what else is new? Ah! Well we’re almost down to 1 figure digits on the ‘Goodbye braces’ countdown – just 11 days to go! (Well, that’s if you don’t count today... or the day they are removed - which you don’t!)
The next few weeks are going to be busy ones as we round up the academic term and the teachers pile on the ‘summer work’ (In my opinion, those are two words which should never be used in conjunction) Still, I’m sure I’ll be able to manage to post, it’s rapidly becoming an excellent method of procrastination.
Few, this was a bit of an essay! Hello to my new followers - there's 20 of you now (Wow thanks, I didn't think anyone would want to read these ramblings!)  Much love! xx

June Favourites

Happy July my dears! My goodness June has floooown by! It was my second month of blogging, I turned 17, and shopped while I should of been revising. I'm sorry there's not very many! This month has sort of crept up on me and I've been trying to think which products I've been using/ loving consistently - Here's what I've come up with...

Batiste brought out a new, bigger size of their infamous dry shampoo which is a consistent favourite of mine. Yay for Batiste!

I love this shade! It's so flattering on any skintone.

Barry M: peach melba

I've been loving the dewiness of my Revlon PhotoReady. It looks great in any almost any light and has SPF 20 which is always nice, especially now it's getting sunnier!

Revlon PhotoReady Makeup: 002 vanilla

My skin has very much been behaving itself this month (touch wood!) and I'm pretty sure this little miracle worker has had something to do with it.

The Body Shop: tea tree blemish fade night lotion

And finally, ever since watching the last episode of Made In Chelsea and hearing this song, I've been hooked! This girl has some serious talent, check out her YouTube :)

I’m optimistic about July, it should (technically) be getting warmer, though this is England.. I will finish 6th form for the summer and get my braces off - needless to say I’m rather excited :) x
